Each piece is re-fired to ensure strength and durability and in the final process fire polished for enduring shine. Dichroic glass contains multiple micro layers of metals or oxides. It has a particular transmitted color and a completely different reflected color which causes many colors to be displayed. Depending on the angle of view the colors shift.
